Founded in 1903, Coltman Bros remains an independent family run timber specialist business with a long-standing tradition in the supply of quality timber products and services. In addition to being a well-established timber merchant for the Midlands region the business has also seen steady growth for demand on a National scale.
TIMBER STRUCTURES
The business has been involved in the design and manufacture of hand crafted oak frame buildings for around 10 years and in that time has provided an array of outstanding structures. From our work within this period we have developed and refined a range of standard products which reflect both the quality and craftsmanship of our skilled workforce together with the essence of our company values.

Coltman Bros is able to offer sustainable timber. We are committed to purchasing timber from suppliers who comply with these schemes and all of our employees involved in purchasing timber are fully trained in the correct procedures to ensure we adhere to the necessary requirements. Coltman Bros has a responsible commitment to the long term protection of the world’s forest resources.

Bespoke Structures
In addition to the standard products we produce we are also able to offer design and supply services for bespoke projects. This might be a simple variation on a standard product or a timber structure which may or may not require integration into an existing building/property.

MERCHANT SERVICES
In addition to our products and timber frame services we are able to offer the following merchant services:
Tanalith E and Tanatone pressure treatment
PSE and profile machining for skirting and decking
Timber straightening for waney edge or random width boards
Large section planing for sections up to 300mm x 450mm
Precision timber preparations and hole cutting/boring
The majority of our stock timber products are already Tanalised pressure preservative treated from our own facilities to protect against the threat of rot or insect attack.
We also provide a full treatment service for customers own timbers, if required
