Description
We also have the option of using a combination of both species to suit your needs.
Green Oak QP1 Grade Timber
Our Structural Green Oak is fresh sawn and has been cut within the past 3 – 6 months. As our structural oak beams are unseasoned, they consist of a higher moisture content, meaning they are easier to cut into custom shapes. Thus, making them ideal for all structural purposes, internally as well as externally. Our beams are of a high moisture content and as a result are prone to movement during the drying process. Splits and shakes are therefore an expected part of the beauty and character of the building and will not cause any structural issues.
Pressure Treated Softwood Roof Structure
Our softwood timber products are fully protected against all forms of wood decay, insect attack and have a long and low maintenance service life through a pressure preservative treatment process. The resulting TANALISED E pressure treated timber can be used with total confidence, even in ground contact situations. Therefore, pressure treated softwood is a versatile and cost-effective material to use for any of our structures.
